Sushmita Maskey

Susmita Maskey, the first Nepali woman to climb Seven Summits, the highest mountains on each continent, is an Honorary Tourism Goodwill Ambassador of Nepal 2015-2017 and Honorary Public Relations Representative of Nepal Tourism Board 2015-2017. She has been conferred with ‚Prabal Jana Sewa Shree Padak‘, one of the highest civilian awards of Nepal, by Rt. Honorable President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. 

Having climbed Everest three times with two historic summits and more than a dozen other peaks, she also holds Masters Degree in English literature and has been recognized as National Youth Talent 2015 by Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation. She is a torchbearer of MDG3 (Millennium Development Goal 3) and has been actively advocating for Women and Children Rights, Safety and Protection. She is also Alumna of IVLP Exchange 2010-US Department of State (International Visitors Leadership Programme) and has travelled around the world climbing the mountains and sharing her inspiring stories in various platforms. Sushmita now balances her life between the family in Switzerland, Germany and philanthropic work in Nepal.
